1. Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon. (in 3D but unfortunately not IMAX)
Hey people, I’m back. Sorry for long absence, been working my ass off. Anyway today I saw the new Transformers and my verdict is….pretty damn good.
My favourite bit was the opening sequence showing the Apollo mission in ‘69, it was visually stunning. The entire movie was, which isn’t a surprise as it is Michael Bay and has all his trademarks of eye candy galore (good looking guys and gals).
First the positives:
Awesome effects which made full use of the 3D, as most people will know I’m not a huge fan of 3D but this was clear and well used. Shia LaBeouf was his usual witty self and along with John Turturro gave the humour to the film (also Alan Tudyk as his assistant is awesome :D). There are new characters, weapons and moves which again make use of effects and 3D.
Now the negatives:
Basically the film has very little plot to it, what plot there is could be covered in a paragraph. I really like the first as it had a pretty good story and character relationships to move the story on, this has none of this. As I said at the beginning its typical Michael Bay, good looking people, lots of action and explosions but very little in the way of story. The relationship between Sam and Carly (Rosie Huntington-Whitley) is tenuous at best.
However I still recommend seeing it as it’s worth seeing on the big screen and it does keep you entertained throughout the 157 mins of the film.

About me

Hey my name is Bethany and this is just a space for me to share the jumbled mess in my head and anything that's interesting, funny or just plain weird.
I'm currently a Masters student, so if I suddenly go quiet my head is buried in a book or my whole body is buried under a mountain of work. My interests are vast and differing so there will all sorts of oddities on here as a result.
Hope you all enjoy and if you have any questions or just want to share something, just drop me a line and I'll try and get back to you ASAP ^_^
